Client: Municipality of South Bruce
Location: South Bruce, Ontario
Size: N/A

In 2024, JLR completed the process of creating a new Zoning By-Law for the Municipality of South Bruce (Municipality). The Municipality’s previous Zoning By-Law 2011-63 was adopted by Council in 2011 and had undergone numerous site-specific and housekeeping amendments since then. The Municipality has a unique character and spirit, shaped by its individual communities. The blend of small urban cores, agricultural lands, mineral aggregate resources, and hamlets ensures access to essential products and services while also retaining small-town character, local cultural heritage, and agricultural roots. The new Zoning By-Law responds to the recent changes to provincial planning policy, the County of Bruce Official Plan, and legislation to add regulations which permit additional residential units and expand the mix and range of housing types permitted within the municipality.
