Your Role as Senior Architectural Technologist:
Choose your own adventure! Let’s talk about how your skills, experience, goals, and passions can find a home at JLR. As a Senior Architectural Technologist, your role will include:
- Working directly with architects, engineers, and technologists as part of an integrated, multidisciplinary project team through all project stages—from concept design to completion.
- Leading teams of architectural technologists and designers through full project delivery.
- Participating in meetings and working closely with clients, stakeholders, and project teams throughout project development and execution.
- Preparing tenders, construction drawings, presentation graphics (including 3D renders, diagrams, and schematics), and other technical documentation for industrial and commercial projects.
- Leading the construction administration phase of projects, including site visits, contractor coordination, shop drawing review, and preparation of supporting documentation.
- Contributing to the integration of new technologies into production workflows to optimize documentation and delivery.
- Completing technical, multidisciplinary, and peer reviews.
- Demonstrating extensive working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, National Building Code, and other relevant codes and standards.
- Demonstrating extensive working knowledge of CCDC contract types and contract administration.
- Utilizing AutoCAD, Revit, and other design and visualization tools (e.g., SketchUp) to develop, communicate, and collaborate on design ideas with clarity.
- Travelling between JLR offices and project sites across Ontario and Canada, as required to support project needs.
